DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER CLEANING - WHY?

A particulate filter must be regenerated regularly.
If you only drive short distances and the filter does not reach the high temperature required for proper combustion of all soot particles, these will instead accumulate in the particle filter and then problems arise.
This leads to the particle filter light coming on and the particle filter becoming clogged with soot.
Depending on the amount of soot, different measures may be required, you can clean with our DPF Super Clean or wash the particle filter in place or disassemble it and wash it:

STEP 1

Is the high soot level warning light on and do you want to extend the life of your particulate filter system?

Get the regeneration started with our special diesel additive solution that lowers the ignition temperature of the soot.
This highly efficient product is used as a regeneration aid in the particulate filter and is added every 6 months so that regeneration starts even with short mileage.

STEP 2

Does the full filter warning light signal?

Use our DPF Air Jet Fluid together with a compressed air gun with flexible probe when the warning light signals a full filter and the car goes into the emergency program or for preventive purposes.

The probe is inserted into the particle filter and the GAT DPD Air Jet is sprayed in.
Simple and effective cleaning WITHOUT disassembly.

STEP 3

Is the full and clogged filter light signaling that the engine has stopped?

You can either have the filter replaced with a new one and the workshop will come up with a cost estimate of several thousand dollars or the filter will be dismantled:

Seal one side and fill it with our GAT DPF Cleaning Fluid – a flushing fluid that cleans the entire filter effectively and gently.
The next day, reassemble the filter and regeneration starts as it should.

And this for just a few hundred dollars!
